Frequently asked questions

How do I search for flights and hotel package?
The flight and hotels search can be selected whenever the flight search form is shown. To start a search for flight and hotels select this function in the search form, select your preferred airports and dates and click on the 'search' button. A new page will then show a list of prices for available flights and hotels. Please note: availability changes continually therefore prices cannot be guaranteed at a later time.

Is my booking secure?
Yes! We offer 128-bit encryption during the booking process. Encryption is a way of scrambling sensitive data or information so that it can be securely transmitted across the Internet. 128-bit SSL is one of the most secure levels of encryption available. You will know when you have entered the secure area of our site when you see a padlock icon in the bottom right hand corner of your browser window.

How do I know if my booking was successful?
If you were shown a confirmation page detailing a booking reference then everything was successful. You will also be sent a confirmation email with your itinerary details. However to minimise the effects of credit card fraud, we reserve the right to carry out random checks, when this happens you will receive an ‘order acknowledgment’ email while we make some checks which can take up to 24 hours. If you are travelling within 24 hours please email confirm24@hotels.bmibaby.com with the following information:

1. a telephone number on which to contact you (preferably not a mobile),
2. your cardholder name and postal address where the card statement is sent,
3. details of the people travelling on this booking, plus
4. any additional or supporting information (excluding card number) explaining your travelling circumstances

Confirmations can also be made through the call centre on 0871 2300675 or if outside the UK on +44 (0)1483 215844.

Please note that bmibaby is a ticketless airline. You will not receive any form of confirmation in the post.

bmi flights will be booked with an electronic ticket, which is stored in the airline's computer rather than printed on paper. The service is similar to the traditional paper ticket process, but eliminates the time and hassle associated with purchasing or exchanging a paper ticket.

I've lost my email and/or booking reference. What do I do now?
You do not need the email itself to travel, only the booking reference number, which is also displayed on the confirmation page. Booking references can be confirmed through the lastminute.com call centre on 0871 2300675 or if outside the UK on +44 (0)1483 215844

What do I do if I have a general query regarding a booking for flight and hotel package?
All general queries should be channelled through the lastminute.com call centre on 0871 2300675 or if outside the UK on +44 (0)1483 215844.

Important information for ALL passengers travelling to and from the UK on an international flight
Due to security measures from the UK Government, all airlines are required to provide advance passenger information (API or APIS) for all passengers travelling to and from the UK on an international flight. API requires Passport/valid photo ID information to be captured prior to travel. Failure to give APIS information will result in passengers not being permitted to travel.

To ensure the security measures are addressed in the most efficient and precise manner, each passenger must provide this information online prior to checking in online, arriving at the airport and at least 3 hours before the standard time of departure. It is the responsibility of the passenger to ensure that the information provided is correct. A step by step guide to the process can be viewed here. Please complete all steps to ensure your information is submitted correctly.

Please note if this information has not been provided in full prior to arriving at the airport, there will be a charge of £5 per passenger per sector for bmibaby to administer this at the airport. You will have to go to a check in desk to provide this information. APIS data cannot be taken at the departure gate. This charge is non-refundable.

The request for the advance passenger information is a direct requirement from the UK Government and we apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
